To be a network of relationships connecting regional community resources to meet physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
To regionally network, train and equip churches to assist, rehabilitate, and develop those experiencing material poverty towards self-sufficiency and spiritual wholeness.
As a HUB, we are in the middle connecting the spokes and the rim and helping them do their work. We train churches to use the helping process as discipleship; so, both the helper and the helped grow together into God’s desire. We teach helping as a process of cooperating with God as he reconciles the world. Hub Network helps churches recognize they can help well without risking the loss of their uniqueness or integrity.
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” (JOHN 15:5NIV)
“He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” (Micah 6:8 NIV)
“Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’38. This is the first and greatest commandment. 39. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’40. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” (Matthew 22:37-40 NIV)
“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” (James 1:27 NIV)
The next large group HUB meeting will be announced soon. These meetings are held at Christ Reformed Church, 130 W. Franklin Street, Hagerstown, MD.
